Visakhapatnam, India – An Indian Navy officer, identified as B. Rama Rao, has been arrested in Visakhapatnam for the gruesome murder and dismemberment of a woman he allegedly met through the ‘Mingle’ dating app. The chilling incident unfolded at Rao’s residence while his wife was away, leading to his subsequent surrender to police.
According to authorities, Rao, a Havildar, confessed to killing P. Bhagyalakshmi following an argument. Investigations reveal a horrifying sequence of events: Rao reportedly purchased a knife online to commit the crime. After stabbing Bhagyalakshmi to death, he allegedly chopped her body into three parts. The torso was then stored in his refrigerator, while he attempted to dispose of her limbs by burning them to conceal the evidence.
Police are currently probing the exact motive behind the murder, which is believed to be connected to a dispute between the two. The horrific details have sent shockwaves across the naval city, with further investigations underway.
