Vizag Startups Secure ₹30 Lakh Boost: CairoVision and Aerogravity Power Up Autonomous Drones at APDTI Summit
Two innovative Visakhapatnam-based startups, CairoVision Pvt. Ltd. and Aerogravity Pvt. Ltd., signed landmark investment agreements worth ₹30 lakh each under the STPI SAMRIDH 2.0 scheme during Day 1 of the AP Digital Technology Summit and AP Innovators Summit on January 9. This funding, announced at the event organized by the AP Digital Technology Industry (APDTI) Network with Andhra Pradesh government and STPI support, targets scaling their autonomous drone platforms for high-impact applications in defense, industry, and government sectors.
CairoVision and Aerogravity are at the forefront of drone technology, developing self-operating systems that promise transformative uses—from surveillance and logistics in defense to precision operations in manufacturing and public services. The STPI SAMRIDH 2.0 matching grant accelerates their growth by providing critical capital for R&D, testing, and market expansion, highlighting Visakhapatnam's emergence as a deep-tech hub.
This deal underscores the summit's theme, "Beyond Automation: The Intelligent Era," where such investments bridge innovation with real-world deployment. Vizag MP M Sribharat and other dignitaries witnessed the signing, signaling strong governmental backing for local talent.
These agreements not only fuel job creation and skill development but also position Andhra Pradesh as a drone tech leader amid India's booming UAV market. With over 800 participants at the summit, this move inspires more startups to leverage schemes like SAMRIDH for AI-driven solutions.
