NITI Aayog's latest report, "Developing Visakhapatnam Economic Region as a Global Economic Hub," unveils an ambitious plan to create a 40 sq km "Vizag Bay City" along a stunning 25 km coastal stretch from Kailasagiri to Bheemili. This mixed-use waterfront development aims to position Visakhapatnam as a premium beach tourism and lifestyle destination, drawing inspiration from international successes like Miami's Bayshore and Dubai's Jumeirah. The blueprint targets a massive $125–135 billion economy for the broader Visakhapatnam Economic Region (VER) by FY32, focusing on IT, industry, tourism, and sustainable urban growth.
